Also, you can use this technique with Ultra Fit characters to farm up food. I find a genie almost every run, and I use it to raise my berserker's vitality, so he does not die as easily (no more having to give up resources when my paranoid character fails me.) Also, it is a good idea to have some custom characters with fully upgraded Health Care, because even if you do not recruit them, they will always give you 7 medical every time you encounter them. Also, I recommend getting all of the gnome upgrades before attempting the harder difficulties, especially the toilet upgrades. I prefer Trademark Weapon over the other perks/traits that can give you permanent weapons, because the aluminum bat is fairly lightweight and has a decent damage output. I would actually stockpile toilets around places I knew I was going to need to explore, so they could not swarm me on my way out of the building. You can rip toilets off of the ground and throw them at zombies, as well as use most furniture right off the bat. Do not hesitate to switch between your TSTC character and Trademark Weapon character as needed early game. Since TSTC characters do not start with any weapons, they need the Trademark Weapon user to help, until you can get a decent weapon for TSTC. I know this is kind of late, but I have beaten Deadlier Road Mode and Marathon Mode with one character with Berserk and TSTC, the other character had Paranoid and Trademark Weapon. There is an extent to how much this tactic works, But the game does so much to help prevent your morale from hitting critical levels you can easily exploit this to get by. For example if you have a character with :( Morale going into an event before sleep, If you choose them and their morale drops to the worst level, Sleep immediately after will instantly return this back to :(. When your party runs low/out of food you'll suffer a morale penalty, But the game does so much to help boost this back to controllable levels that I've found it better in some instances to deliberately deprive my group of food for treatment/Stat gains. Strength, Fitness,+1 Max Health, Morale + Random skill gain, Shooting, And everything else tends be the level of priority I have. The rare rewards of +2 random stat to a character I don't tend to take, Unless you specifically plan on using that character. They help out more in the long run than the short term comfort that consumables offer. Any sieges you survive, Any random event prompts, Always take the rewards that provide stat gains. Always go for stat gains over set rewards. Side not, The worst weapon with cleave is probably the Sledgehammer, The hitbox for hitting a second enemy is pretty awkward and it tends to miss when used from certain angles. They tend to be heavier/require more stamina than most weapons, But the stopping power they provide makes up for this easily. The Meat Cleaver is the most common weapon you'll fine. Weapons with cleave should take priority. If you end up getting stuck in a siege at the Death Mall, Find and recruit both cops immediately and bring any ranged weapons/Temporary units (Egg, Green turret, Etc) you have. (The one exception to this is G#rf's siege map when he hits critical morale). This area has killed me more times than anywhere else in the game. For the most part I tend to stock pile my ammo for the entire game, Up until 1 day from Canada with the 4 hour siege/Border. The noise attracts every nearby enemy, And you'll rarely have enough ammo to deal with it. Guns for the most part you should always avoid using if you can help it. Never use guns unless you absolutely have to (All characters at 1 health on a siege map). A few pieces of advice that overall helps with the game.
